Food with Dignity

Established in 2011, the U.ME.US Food Pantry is a shopping cart style environment valuing inclusion, hospitality, dignity, and partnership. For many families and individuals living in Portland food insecurity is all too common, and for the hundreds of people who have experienced this place, it’s become more than a food depot, it’s a place of encouragement, community, and consistency. The U.ME.US Food Pantry does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, sex, gender, marital status, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability. Read more.

We are open the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of each month from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. We are closed the 1st and 5th Sundays. Our partners include The Oregon Food Bank, Whole Foods Burnside, Cultivate Initiatives, Alongsiders PDX, and supportive neighbors. The U.ME.US Food Pantry is a 501c3 non-profit.

U.ME.US Food Pantry is an initiative of the Alongsiders Community Development (ACD) a charitable nonprofit corporation created to unfold ideas around business and human care.

Our greenhouse and two garden plots, equaling roughly 500 square feet, produce a varied seasonal crop of fresh vegetables which are washed , packaged and distributed to Food Pantry guests.
